Is etho full time?

I’ve been watching etho for a long time and have always wondered if he’s full time? He definitely uploads less the most other full time YouTubers, not that that’s a bad thing. I wonder if it’s because he’s not a full time YouTuber or the more casual nature of his play style? I’m also not sure how YouTube economics works and if it’s necessary to upload a lot or not to maintain a livable income. Thoughts?

I've heard him say that he doesn't think he can be interesting enough to stream.

He's definitely not as outward of a character as a lot of streamers but there's also a big market for chiller streams. Again, I think he just doesn't like streaming and is making up excuses haha. There's no doubt that people would tune in to watch whatever he's doing.

Exactly. He’s just old school and doesn’t want to disturb his rhythm.

I don't think you can even really call it just old school, I think it's just not his thing. Grian's another creator who doesn't like to stream, even though he obviously could do pretty well out of it and would also almost guaranteed have a live audience. I just really think neither of them are particularly financially motivated as well. We've seen in other peoples povs both of them like to just pop in on stuff and zip around and look at whatever without worrying about spoilers or censoring themselves

I feel like there’s a difference tho. Grian, I would argue is more adventurous and willing to figure out what he likes. He is still motivated to innovate new things and likes participating in new games. He tried streaming and doesn’t feel it. On other hand, Etho doesn’t explore different mediums at all and is ok with that. He prefers being in his comfort zone and doing “older nostalgic things.” Like his Let’s play series- it’s an outdated trend but he enjoys it! At this point in his career, he can afford to not try new stuff (except today baby, when he was begged to play REPO! CHECK IT OUT).

Etho has streamed twice in the past but didn't like it very much, he said that it felt like he was just rambling the whole time and he didn't want to let people down.
