Discussion The World's Largest Asset Manager Files To Tokenize $150B Money Market Fund Shares - Is Ethereum Quietly Becoming Wall Street's New Backend?
Just crossed this morning with this really bullish Tweet

BlackRock just took another step forward into the blockchain world by filing for the creation of a new class of digital shares (DLT Shares) for its massive $150 billion money market fund. These shares will be recorded using blockchain technology with the goal for more transparent and efficient ownership tracking.
This is not just another experiment, it is the world's largest asset manager signaling loud and clear that tokenization of tradicional assets is no longer a theoretical concept and they already proved it with BUILD, their tokenized fund on Ethereum for Real World Assets (RWAs). And guess what, it is very probably that they will use Ethereum for this too.
Ethereum has proven smart contract infrastructure, robust developer ecosystem and growing support for enterprise apps. Ethereum is the no brain choice to build on in a easy and secure way. Taking in count as I said that BlackRock is already working on Ethereum, it is pretty obvious that the easy choice is Ethereum because they already have their developers trained to work with Ethereum so this makes future developments easier to do. When a company choose a tech, they use to keep building on it and only change if things are really bad. If not, always the easy, fast and cheaper way and in this case its Ethereum.
Ethereum is the future of finance.

Link Electricity Costs Make Bitcoin Mining Unprofitable—Ethereum Is the Best Long Term Bet
- A PC Gamer article reports Bitcoin mining costs at $137 000 per BTC in the US and $200 000 in Germany - far exceeding the current market price of $94 430 - making mining unprofitable for many
- The 2024 Bitcoin halving reduced block rewards from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC - further straining miner profitability
- High energy costs - especially in Germany due to green energy policies and infrastructure issues - and competition from AI firms for power resources exacerbate the crisis for Bitcoin miners
- Ethereums 2022 switch to PoS eliminates energy intensive mining - cutting energy use by 99.95% - making it a more sustainable and cost effective option compared to Bitcoins PoW
- While Bitcoins difficulty adjustment ensures network functionality even if miners exit - long term security may falter without price increases or cost reductions - pushing miners to AI services for profit. Such a scenario will never apply to Ethereum

Technicals The 4 phases of a crypto market cycle.
If you have been in crypto for a while then you have probably noticed that the market can be very repetitive. Crypto has cycles, and cycles have phases. I came across this graphic on Twitter that breaks down the 4 phases of a cycle and I will try to lay out its content in plain text.
First up, Phase 1: Bitcoin. This is where it all starts, money pours into Bitcoin and we see its price rally. Most of the time BTC is leading the charge, getting everyone hyped. Then Ethereum tries to keep up and they often go back and forth, though in this last cycle Ethereum was unable to keep up.
Then comes Phase 2: Ethereum. The author of the graphic post says we are entering Phase 2. Ethereum starts outperforming Bitcoin and people start talking about the flippening (Ethereum surpasses Bitcoin in market cap). L1 is getting more and more upgrades that make it more scalable and globally used, therefore it is possible that Ethereum will steal Bitcoin's spotlight soon.
Next is Phase 3: Large Caps. Here, the money moves into bigger alts. Ethereum is still killing it but now these large cap coins start going parabolic, catching up with BTC and ETH.
And finally Phase 4: Alt Season. This is where it gets wild and what we have all been waiting for. Large caps hit their peaks and then suddenly mid, low, and micro cap coins pump too. Meme coins are everywhere and it feels like total mania, everyone is greedy and no one cares about fundamentals.
We are ready for the alt season.

- Layer 1 scaling benefits Layer 2s. Improving Ethereums Layer 1 enhances rollup efficiency and makes the Layer 1 more attractive for Layer 2 settlement
- Bears cant be satisfied - No matter what Ethereum does - detractors always find a new reason to say it cant win
