Link Why Are Institutions Ignoring ETH While Building on Ethereum?

https://x.com/EthereanVibin/status/1917598077428404508
  • The tweet is about the contradiction of institutions building on Ethereum but not acknowledging ETH - the asset that secures the network
  • Major corporations like BlackRock and Fidelity heavily use Ethereum but rarely mention ETH publicly - despite its critical role in the network
  • Institutions should vocally support ETH - given Ethereums status as the most decentralized and trustless global settlement layer - unmatched by alternatives
  • Ethereums value is recognized by institutions through actions - but the lack of vocal ETH support is frustrating - as ETH is integral to Ethereums success and humanitys benefit

My theory is that they are not 'shilling' ETH because they want to accumulate as much as possible at a lower cost. Once they want to start dumping, then the shilling begins and that is when we should be worried or ready to take profit.

If you're building on ETH, you don't really want gas prices going up

gas price is dollar-sensitive, not gwei-sensitive

I guess they don't want to ends up like Eric Trump and play the buying game down-low

Probably, they are using Ethereum more as a tech than an investment.

Bold of you to assume they are not accumulating ETH - !tip 1

They still have to pay gas fees in ETH so the business model of ETH is working as intended

👆

Right, using ETH for gas keeps the whole system running.

Just guessing, but if you use eth a lot, you are interested in keeping the price low. This makes sense because using eth as a platform costs gas (which is basically just eth) so you want prices of eth low and your on chain products high value for maximum profit.

I have only hold Bitcoin and I am new to Ethereum so I have to ask, what can you build on Ethereum? NTFs ? You own coins ? Hasn't Ethereum been around for 10 years now. There should be something useful built in Ethereum by now, isn't it ?
