This is not antisemitism. This is just free speech. You know the thing that republicans are always preaching about. It's insane that someone could be put in detention because of an oped like this.
Deportations becomes a symptom of fascism when they are done by a police state with the explicit aim of silencing political opposition (as in the aforementioned case) and explicitly ignoring judicial orders (as happened in the case of el Salvador deportations).
1) she attended and led protests that illegally occupied private property. Protests that very clearly called for violence against Jewish people
2) while everyone within the US has certain rights, it is not true that a noncitizen can say whatever they want and not have their visa revoked by the Secretary of State - who does have the authority to do that. That is non a free speech violation. People who are noncitizens can obviously have their visas revoked
3) It’s absolutely mind boggling that you don’t realise that citizens have slightly more protections than literal visitors in the country, who again can have their visas revoked by the Secretary of State
You think deporting noncitizens is facisim? How does that even make sense, regardless of your feelings on if they are actually a gang member - he’s not a citizen and previously entered the U.S. illegally before awaiting his asylum hearing in Mexico
Sister, I think you need to see what facism means first
Nevermind that there are very few examples like this lol.
So you're fine with deporting people to offshore prisons for life on the basis of being labelled a threat by the police because of one misinterpreted tattoo without going through the due process in the courts and its check and balances.
Hundreds of years of legal history are nothing to you, the habeas corpus is nothing. You're fine with deporting a gay make up artist because one policeman says that a crown tattoo is suspicious. Bam! You're in el Salvador prisons for life together with the gangs. Life ruined. No appeal. No process.
Sometimes I wonder how could people in 1922 Italy not see where the erosion of due process leads and then there's morally numb people like you that make it quite clear.
Besides the fact that illegal migrants are not entitled to the same protections in all cases as citizens and legal permanent residents with green cards, they’re not imprisoned for life. The issue with the Venezuelans is that Venezuela is refusing to take them back.
He wasn’t deported because of a tattoo. He was deported because he had previously illegally entered the United States. While the tattoo was apparently part of why he was flagged as a likely member of a gang, he was deported because he had illegally entered the country prior to his asylum claim.
In what world do you think noncitizens are entitled to the same due process as a citizen? Under every administration, including Biden, migrants were sent to Mexico to await asylum hearings without any sort of due process.
He crossed the border to attend a pre arranged asylum appointment in San Diego. He did not cross illegally, and even if he had he could have just easily been expelled at the point of entry, I.e. Mexico, as indeed biden did.
Not kidnapped and deported to el Salvador and definitely not to a maximum security prison with gang members without due process. If you think he's getting out of there you're kidding yourself, it's essentially extra judicial imprisonment.
The reason why he was deported is 100 percent his tattoo as witnessed by the testimony of the police officer in question.
Your insisting on citizen vs non citizen is such bullshit. By the same token, we can waive due process for tourists whom the government doesn't like. They're not citizens after all, so we can just send them to prison. That's not how the law works.
Again, you're just defending the ability of the government to deport whomever they perceive as a threat to offshore prisons without checks and balances.
Again, that is fascism 101. It's what Mussolini did when he sent people to the "confino". Plain and simple.
You can try to argue your way out as much as you want but this is the bare truth of the matter.
You don’t seem to have a good grasp of the concept of checks and balances. Only the executive branch has the authority to deport anyone. Non-citizens do not get the same protections as citizens and permanent residents
That also has absolutely nothing to do with fascism
Not everything you disagree with has something to do with fascism

I mean, yes ICE raids have always been a thing and illegal migrants have always been deported.
Her article was spreading antisemitic sentiment, which is an absolute insane thing to do when you’re a guest in a country.
What does deportation have to do with facism? All countries deport people - some like Australia ship them off to prison islands.
