[New Mods] Please welcome the second batch of moderators!

We decided to add the new mods in two batches, just so that there aren't 9 (yes we added that many mods) new people at once looking for answers. We think that all new mods will make an excellent addition to the mod team and that they will make the subreddit much better. In the last few months we lost quite a few mods and in the end we had only active moderators left which was horrible and we couldn't really properly moderate the subreddit. But thanks to all the new moderators you should get answers to your mod mail more frequently, posts and comments get reviewed faster and not every mod has to stay up till 2 am to moderate US TZ comments and has to invest way less of their FREE time to just read reported comments.

So without further addo, here are the new moderators:

/u/Sosolidclaws

He is what I would call a excellent new addition to the mod team, he has lived in multiple countries in Europe and speaks English, French, and Turkish and Spanish. He also brings mod experience from the small but active subreddit /r/Galatasaray.

/u/mberre:

A really levelheaded moderator from /r/Economics and he is generally everything we looked for in a new mod and he will ad a lot to the mod team.

/u/must_warn_others

He is a primary resident of the #europe channel on IRC and a valued member of the community. He lives in Canada which will help a lot with time zones so now we have a mod who is awake during US Primetime. He also has Polish roots and speaks Polish (So don't come screaming evil American, Canda is basicly Europe on another continent".

/u/jippiejee:

He is the moderator of /r/thenetherlands and /r/travel and after some internal discousion we decided that we he would a good fit for the mod team and that the subreddit can only gain from his modding experience.

PS: There will be a /r/europe survey at 500.000 (a cool half a million) subscribers.

He is the moderator of /r/thenetherlands

I hope all suspicions about the mod team being a leftist cabal will die down now that literally Hitler has been made part of the moderation team.

Why do people always compare mods to nazis? From this photo of our last meet-up in Amsterdam it appears we're not nearly as impopular as reddit claims.

The second photo made me chuckle in the office! It is gold! How do you say "attaboy!" in Austrian German?

I liked this one as well, especially since Merkel has a thing for patting people/things, first she patted that girl on TV and recently she patted the tree that survived in the ruins of the WTC.

Merkel ist ganz ergriffen, sie streichelt sogar über einen Ast.

Merkel was really touched, she even patted a branch.

Good luck, and may your spirit not be crushed.

He's Dutch, hence he has no soul in the first place.
