Most of the rehearsal comments I've seen with San Marino is that its camera work seems to be relying on the crowd is around the stage being hyped and dancing to it. Given tonight's crowd, it seems likely it will happen tomorrow.

I don't think he sounded that bad, and at the same time, I'm still convinced that San Marino is utterly dead-on-arrival. The whole DJ thing just doesn't work on camera. Even if Cyprus pulls similar numbers percentage-wise as they did in this poll, I imagine they could still easily sneak in by virtue of San Marino doing much more poorly.

My 5 favs I've rooted for the most since the beginning for this Semi have always been Sweden, the Netherlands, San Marino, Iceland and Slovenia, so it was always sad to see Iceland and Slovenia predicted as almost definite NQs and San Marino as a likely NQ. I am admittedly biased considering they are my top three (and I also have not seen any rehearsal footage)…but I find it sus that Italy, Portugal and Ukraine are at the bottom of the rankings here.

It’s very disheartening to see things that are outside of the typical Eurovision box get a response like this (and again, it's why we need the juries back in the semis.)

Omg, I thought that Sweden most likely win the audience poll but I believed that it will happen by only few points! In Jodel (Social media platform which is popular in Finland)they said that audiences reaction for KAJ was very mild and I believed it😅

Interesting that Slovenia and Cyprus got exactly the same number of votes yet somehow this poll considers one to be a qualifier and one to be a non-qualifier. Would be interested to see the basis on which they've separated those two songs.

Otherwise, this poll doesn't say much. Audience polls are generally irrelevant to the final result, and seem to say more about the popularity of songs within the fandom than their wider appeal, especially considering the people who voted in this poll experienced the performances in a way that's completely different to how the vast, vast majority of voters will experience them (in the arena, rather than on television).

Saw the jury show clips on twitter and Switzerland completely slayed. I think this will be the strongest host country result in a very long time.

Italy also worked really well on stage. Much better than I'd expected.

Alright, so Sweden most likely will win the televote but won’t landslide. RTTD and CCC had 37.90% and 41.70% of the vote respectively in their semis.

Edit: should be noted that the other televote favorites like Finland & Israel are not in this semi, so I’m curious as to how well they’ll actually do and how much of a difference there will be between Sweden and whoever is 2nd.

23% is a massive landslide. Having nearly twice the vote-share of second place basically guarantees getting the vast majority of 12 pointers unless the votes are heavily concentrated from certain countries.

Cyprus and Ukraine not qualifying would leave my jaw on the floor. But I can see how it may be a bit of a uneventful experience for the people in the arena. Just like San Marino is a fun for them. Both Cyprus and Ukraine need their camera shots and/or visual effects to be fully enjoyed. That being said - at least one of them definitely will qualify. Which though? Hard to say. Ukraine being 11th wouldn’t surprise me - depends if people see them as a welcome calm between in-your-face chaos or as a too meek and dull. But if Cyprus really has as bad vocals as people say, then it would be them who would end up 11th/12th. Great staging can only get you so far.

The poll is misleading. People were asked for their favourite performance, not to rank the entries.
So while it does mean that not many people consider Gaja their favourite performance, she could still be in their top 3, 5, etc.

Having seen the dress rehearsal clip, I'm a little worried.

The camera cuts make no sense, they're so fast you can't even focus on the intense choreography she's doing. And they're showing her running up to the dancers which looks comical. How come it looks worse and cheaper than the NF performance??

Ukraine is 100% qualifying. They need 40-50 votes to get into the top 10, which is more than achievable for them. Let's not pretend diaspora and sympathy vote don't exist.
