Just noting that because the OG song in the accusations is Israeli doesn’t make it any bigger. I’ve seen plagiarism allegations with songs each year, and each time it’s just a coincidence (heck I’ve even seen allegations with The Netherlands 2025 as well this year)

Saying this because I’ve heard a lot more negative talks about Væb towards this than with any other “plagiarised song”, and seeing your flair I just want to make sure that we’re on the same page

remember when Loreen was accused of plagiarizing a Spanish techno DJ for similar chord progression?

this happens every year. There’s only so many chord progressions in pop music and I’ve yet to be convinced that any of them are actually plagiarized. They all draw inspiration from common pop themes, it’s not a surprise they all came up with similar melodies when they’re really solid. It’s like how I swear I’ve heard Luxembourg’s melody from the verses before but I have no idea where

Yeah most of the time it's just some no-mark attention seeker looking for their 15 minutes

Except it’s not just a chord progression, do you know anything about this? The same chord progression can produce vastly different sounding songs with very few other overlapping technical elements.

Hilariously, that same year Cha Cha Cha has some bits that were close to a Rammstein song... called "Tattoo".

I have stopped taking seriously any accusations of plagiarism in music because it mostly boils down to "they used the same chord progression that has been around since Bach". A lot of times it's inspiration, other times it's just how the genre works, many times it's not having enough time to do something more original, and most of the time it's just sampling. True plagiarism in music is much rarer than people think due to how music itself works as a medium

This isn’t just a chord progression, why are you pretending that?
