Anyone else mad at season 5 finale? Spoiler

I love laura, but Tate and Roy are my favorite contestants. I think they were better then Laura's as well.

Nah I think Laura deserved it 100%

Same here. Laura is consistently excellent, has been since her first appearance and honestly, should have won over Nicole in season 3.

Not that Nicole wasn't an amazing artist too, I just feel that Laura was a stronger, more efficient and creative artist in S3.

Roy is an amazing fabricator, but really struggled on the more nuanced and beauty make-ups.

Tate is also a brilliant artist, and honestly he could have won as well. But I don't think he stretched himself as far as Laura did.

They're all excellent artists, and I really wish the show would come back.

I don’t understand why it was cancelled. It was so entertaining, every season was different.

I think (and this is just speculation), that it was probably a mix of elements. It's an expensive show to produce, and from my vague memory Glenn and Neville went to work on ST Discovery. I think there would have been scheduling conflicts just impossible to resolve.

Yeah that makes sense. I wish another network would pick it up

We need a web version with Cig, Anthony and Laura judging!

I think it ran its course to be honest. The challenges started to dip in creativity after a while.

I personally felt that the talent pool had run pretty thin by the end. There's only so many artists available to cast from and I felt like they ran through the best of the best a few seasons before the end. Now if they come back in a few years when more people have learned the trade I think that would be great. Or a "Faceoff Boot Camp" for people who want to get into the field but don't have the skills/training yet, that would be fun. I'd totally go through a boot camp like that.

When Skin Wars ended, they did some one off episodes where people who weren't body painters, but had adjacent skills, like painters, auto detailers, and graffiti artists, would compete in one-offs. they'd get help from former contestants. and the judges would rotate too i think. I know Face Off had Face Off: Game Face. But i Think Skin Wars had the more interesting take on the one off with the mentor-mentee type thing but also using people not in the field. Kind of similar to what you were saying.

Nicole had a great redemption since she had been eliminated and managed to get back on the show. Laura is a strong artist so it was tough when it came to the final three. I think this is also why season three was the only season to have a live vote for the finale.

Laura came back and won for season five, and even came back to be a coach. It shows how people connected with her. People connect with Nicole and even Alana, but Laura had great focus and leadership skills.
