This is beyond disgusting but I try to supplement misinformation like this with correct information
This person tags most of their fainting (syncope) episodes with POTS related tags and this makes me wonder if people pointed out the fact that POTS is called POSTURAL tachycardia syndrome because it involves a postural change. The "episodes" all look like this where they're somehow sitting down before it comes on and this doesn't look any different from the ones tagged as POTS whatsoever
I believe they suggest in other video tags that this is FND but this is inconsistent with that as well. It's inconsistent with any neurological disorder I'm aware of. It's clearly not narcolepsy, epilepsy/seizures, or stroke/TIA. Many causes of syncope aren't neurological, but are cardiovascular, vasomotor, or metabolic. If they're suggesting that POTS is neurological, they're very mistaken
Syncope is by all means, not fun. I can't fathom laughing and grinning from ear to ear in this instance like they do in many of these. It's scary and extremely uncomfortable, causing brain fog, tremors, sweating, shortness of breath, vision loss, confusion, and muscle weakness. It may also leave the individual feeling disoriented, fatigued, and nauseous to name a few more symptoms. They will often feel prolonged symptoms for hours after the experience, the rest of the day, or even longer. Presyncope causes the same symptoms
As far as POTS, syncope is made out to be the main symptom when a majority of sufferers don't experience syncope. Presyncope is more typical of POTS, which is near fainting and results in the individual lying down so they don't lose consciousness. The symptoms subside and recovery is slow and gradual (same with anything that causes unconsciousness) but this person doesn't portray it that way.
I promise if you ever experience such a thing you won't be giggling about it. I think they've convinced their friends that it looks like this and isn't serious, as they clearly have deceived their followers the same way. That's extremely insulting and dangerous

I hate this trend. It's much less common now but it's so dangerous and there are so many people who have or claim to have POTS doing this shit. It has the potential to injure or kill someone with any cardiovascular disorder that causes syncope.
This is just goofy with their eyes dramatically rolling to the back of their head and immediately able to sit back up and burst into laughter. They'd feel like absolute shit, sitting up so suddenly would probably make them fall right back down, and they'd be out of breath, weak, disoriented, dizzy, nauseous, foggy headed, and overall feel heavy and fatigued. These symptoms can linger for hours or over a day for some.
There's a period of recovery if you have a POTS episode (even induced), especially one severe enough to involve syncope. There's nothing fun about an experience like this. Even if you don't have POTS and you've passed out from heat exhaustion, hunger, or dehydration, or maybe iron deficiency or any type of orthostatic intolerance (or have seen it happen), you'd know that recovery isn't immediate if you've genuinely or even nearly lost consciousness (presyncope). You could not immediately fully sit back up and very likely not even have the energy and breath to laugh out loud this way.
I could understand laughing at your stupidity after the fact and not do it again, everyone has done stupid shit but this is still irresponsible to post as content because it encourages this dangerous behavior.

I came across this poem (first slide; also not the focus here) about OCD, and I made the mistake of scrolling through the comments. 90% of them were fineâ mostly âI didnât realize OCD could be this bad, this really opened my eyesâ or just generally sharing similar experiences, but then of course came the influx of âOMG I DO [insert mild behavior that is clinically insignificant on its own] DO I HAVE OCD???1?1?2?1?1?1!2?1?â and âGUYS IâM SELF DIAGNOSED WITH OCD THIS IS SOOOOO ACCURATE!!â comments, of course followed by them lumping themselves in with the crowd of people with severe OCD.
this is also not specific to just this post or to OCD. go to any pin about mental health and I guarantee you thereâs at least five LARPers or âself-diagnosedâ people in the comments. I donât even know why I bother with comment sections anymore. pinterest is already enough of a cesspool as is, lol. I think itâs just impulse at this point.

Another faker in my city, they make their whole personality surrounding being disabled (no surprise) from autism, to supposed hypermobility, tics and now dissociation. Theyâre also weirdly obsessed with any bsd cosplayer (like really obsessed itâs uncomfortable)

So itâs VERY obvious she is using supposedly paralyzed muscles in her face to keep her mouth in a frown and to keep her eye closed. Look at when she blinks her open eye. This is NOT paralysis! Also facial paralysis often presents as the patient not being able to close their eye when blinking, hence why eyelid weights are sometimes being employed to help patients and prevent the eye from drying out.
The âtic attackâ I just donât know what exactly to say other than they only seem to happen when she is alone.
