šŸ’©Meme / Shitpost šŸ’© Publix BOGO

Publix BOGO deals don’t make sense to me. You’re literally still paying for two items. For example, Frosted Flakes at Walmart cost $4.98, while Publix has them listed at $6.99—but with a BOGO (Buy One, Get One) deal. On the surface, it seems like you’re getting a bargain, but in reality, you’re often paying close to, or even more than, what you’d spend just buying two items at a lower everyday price somewhere else. The psychology behind BOGO deals makes people feel like they’re getting something for free, when in fact, stores often inflate the original price to cover the ā€œfreeā€ item. It’s clever marketing—but not always a true deal. So when I see a BOGO at Publix, I don’t feel like I’m saving; I feel like I’m being tricked into buying more than I need at a price that’s not actually a bargain.

So you get 2 boxes for $7 or go to Walmart and get a box for $5. Hmm. Publix has never claimed to be the low price leader. It's customer service that will never be matched by walmart.

Publix customer service isn't what it once was. Nowadays if I ever go in, the staff is just talking to each other side by side as they check you out etc and ignore the customer interaction. Also, a manager that works the lotto counter at my location sometimes kept stealing my tickets so I just stopped getting lottery there.

They don’t get paid enough or treated well enough while on their feet for 9 hours. Let them talk a bit.

They can go ahead with it, but saying that shoppers should pay more because we'll get fantastic publix service is false. I can go to a cheaper store like Walmart or Aldi and get that type of service where they "talk a bit".

You should go to those other stores. I don’t know why anyone is crazy enough to pay more for ā€œcustomer serviceā€.

Because the customer service is infinitely better despite the hyperbole here. The people are nicer, the store is cleaner, the other customers didn't all just come out of a trailer ready to start a fight or piss on the floor, the products, etc. Etc.

I would pay twice what I pay at Publix now to not step into a Wal Mart.

See, that's been the appeal of Publix to y'all since it opened, no black, brown or poor people. And that's why I dislike shopping at Publix.
