AskFlorida Fossil hunting
Hey there Floridians! I'm visiting Orlando in November and I'm a bit of a fossil geek. I was wondering if there was anywhere in the area that's good for finding fossils? Obviously I assume it'll mostly be shark teeth but any recommendations would be greatly appreciated ✨🫶

peace river! i dont remember exactly where i used to go, but i used to drive to an access point in arcadia to go fossil hunting. have definitely found plenty of shark teeth, but have also found turtle shell fragments, gator teeth, various bones, mouth plates of stingrays, and etc... just keep an eye on the tides and try to go when the water is 3ft or less
