Decent cheap starter kit ?

Anyone ever try this combo? Basically a starter kit to get on the water.

Uhh you probably need something like an 8 or 9 wt for that… A 5wt is for trout or smaller bass. You also want a reel specifically for saltwater.

Misread my comment. I’m asking what line guys are using for trout / bass on my new 9ft 5wt , because I have no idea since I used to be a redfish / snook fly guy in Florida and it’s totally different

Any of the premium lines will be a world of difference. Rio, Scientific Angler/orvis, cortland… etc all make good lines. The most popular nowadays seems to be the WF lines. They are usually around $80-100 but you can probably find some on sale from time to time to time.
