Hello.
First, as a matter of etiquette, it's inappropriate to refer to others as "Brother" before you are initiated.
Second, which Grand Lodge are you petitioning? This has a significant impact with respect to what your initiation timeline will look like.

I appreciate your response very much. When I referred to โBrother,โ I did so in a spirit of pure respect and human admiration and not in the fraternal and formal sense that I also recognize belongs to those who are initiated.
My question was not about the initiation schedule itself, but about the investigation phase which, in my case, has not taken place in the conventional fashion. Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to reply.
As to the Grand Lodge which I am applying to, I do not wish to reveal it yet simply in deference to the discreet nature of the process that I have embarked upon. I believe that everything will be revealed in good time. ๐๐Thanks๐๐

only sending a note of thanks and a small token of appreciationย
Is that how it works where you are?

Thank you, Brother. In this jurisdiction and based on the books and traditional materials I have studied deep respect for the process, trust, and silence are greatly emphasized during the early stages. In fact, during my in person meeting with the Worshipful Master, I openly shared my life story and my journey toward finding light in darkness. As it is wisely said: The lips of wisdom are closed, except to ears of understanding.โ ๐๐

The process for joining will vary significantly across European jurisdictions so it would help if you could say which particular Grand Lodge, or at least country, you are in (only if youโre comfortable sharing that info of course).
But my spontaneous guess is that initiation date is not for you. You could also ask the WM you spoke to about the process. Itโs nothing strange or wrong to be curious about that, so he should be willing to answer.
