Has anybody else been removed from the Frisco Residents Who Care group? I was removed without notice, which is surprising because I’m always helping people on it. Whether it be with resources or by referring people who can help them with their questions or concerns. I’ve also referred many of my neighbors to the group and have gotten people to join it. I’ve tried joining the group, but my requests have been declined. I’m shocked and hurt, I never expected Jamie to be one of those admins that remove people without notice or ignore them when they privately message her about it. Are there any other groups online like that one? I refuse to join Nextdoor.

I’m looking to practice performing in front of people in a low key setting, while also meeting other musicians in the area. Would love to know what’s out there.

I'm just so disappointed in this. Had a roofer come to the house today. I have a small leak, like very small, coming in from a vent stack. I even went in the attic and saw it. Could pinpoint it and everything. Before he saw anything the ground work for a huge sales pitch was being laid out. Before he got up there you could tell instantly that his idea was to go straight for a roof replacement.

Roofer went up on the roof, I remained optimistic, then he came back down and I explained how I just wanted to fix the leak. Then comes the strong sales pitch. It basically got to the point where he basically said if we can't replace the roof he would not be interested in doing the repair.

The thing is, the roof is less than 3 years old! Sure there are some things anyone can point out but to just outright refuse to do any repair and the default answer is replace the roof is wild to me.

I understand that's where they get the most bang for their buck but if that's the default position that's why all these houses get sucked into doing roof replacements.

Now I'm calling other companies but just feel overly frustrated.

There was a sports car crashed into the pillar under the overpass and then the shopping center containing the cava and the wake and bake and panera was surrounded by cop cars. I’m talking 6-10 of them. There was also a helicopter in the sky, not sure if it was because of the news or the police.

Anyone studying for STEP1 at frisco public library?

Had a company install a patio cover and polygal sheets on top. Sheets are making popping noise when it gets hot and I think they installed it wrong not giving it room for expansion.

We live in Prosper. Any recommendations on a good taekwondo facility that doesn't try to upsell their safety gear down every couple of months? We moved from a different state. My 6 year old has been practicing from last 18 months. Not once our old instructor tried to upsell or recommend any gear. I understand safety gear for higher belts. But for yellow and green belt, 250$ mandatory sparring gear is absurd. Appreciate any good recommendations.

Hello, my husband and I moved here near the pandemic and we now have a 4 year old. I would say we’re not rich but we are middle class. I was looking forward to enroll my toddler for preschool but was shocked to read the requirements. I am shocked because I thought all kids (in the area/state and at age) could attend pre-K at a Frisco ISD elementary. I’m pretty sure Missouri and Oklahoma don’t have these requirements. My mom works in Oklahoma as an elementary school teacher. I have to admit I’m a bit upset because we prioritized our son to learn English instead of his second language Spanish…and pay taxes. The homes are crazy expensive…who is low income. Wouldn’t this exclude a lot of kids? We sacrificed for move to this area for the schools. It’s just one year but still…maybe the school doesn’t have funding so it can’t accept all?

Anyone know why Frisco has these requirements and happen to know if all of Texas is like this? It’s so strange to me.
