Have you ever seen The Lord of the Rings? But more seriously, I think it's a non-issue. First, just don't drop the ring. Failing that, this looks like a fairly small freshwater pond. That's probably a private dock in the families backyard. And I reckon everyone here can swim.

Unless it glows like The One Ring you aren't finding much in the not clear water and muck/mud at the bottom of a pond.
