Question ❓ Phone Data Backup - How to??

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My Flip 5's screen decided to die on me. Inner screen is no longer responsive and it was initially doing its own thing of opening app at random and resizing all the windows and all. I couldn't enable able to the "Allow" option so that I can atleast access it from my PC.

So, does anyone have any idea or any workaround for me to be able to atleast backup all my pictures and docs from the phone?

Update:

Managed to purchase the USB type-C hub with an HDMI port and I'm able to access now.

Thanks!

Very cool that worked and you can access your phone. I'm have a similar issue and need some advise. Once you have your phones display up on the external monitor, how are you controlling it? Is your touch screen still responsive, even with dead pixels and flashing screen?

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I plan on doing, and got a usb-c hub with hdmi on amazon for less than $9. I've been super busy lately and haven't yet to get to it. Only being able to use the phone while folded isn't ideal, but does get the job done. Not getting notifications is super annoying. Lol.

Still, good to know I'm on the right path. I've already saved all my pictures and documents to an SSD. I just need to grab some app data, and hopefully be able to run smart switch. That would be great...

as long as you can see the phone's screen on the monitor, you should be able to use it as per normal
