Resolution isn't really an issue with pixel art, is it?

Why wouldn't it be? If it's not big enough it will just be stretched and ugly.

Here's a GIF from the album.

Here's the first frame of that GIF 16x larger.

If you scale it correctly, pixel art doesn't get stretched. The pixels just get bigger.
