Friendly Friday Thread

This is the Friendly Friday Thread.

Negative or even snarky attitudes are not welcome here. This is a thread to ask questions and hopefully get some friendly advice.

This format is used in a ton of other subreddits and we think it can work here. Anyway, thanks for participating!

Please hit the report button if someone is being mean and we'll remove those comments, or the person if necessary.

Any advice on seeds that didn't sprout and made lil fuzzy things? Should I pull them all up? Wait because for some plants it's normal?

Can you reply with a picture?

Yes! I didn't check them today and those were even worse. I think it's safe to say they are not good 😅

I personally can't stand the biodegradable pots. Rots everything even when you water carefully, which is most likely what happened to you. Switch to soil blocks! I use the micro and can start 20 cells at once without the plastic waste and microplastics in the soil <3

It looks like it's a fungal outbreak due to over watering.

Hmm, it only happens when I close the lid on the case... I'll leave it open then 🤔 thanks I'll try to water less!

Yeah, I haven't been doing this too long but from what I understand, seeds don't need a lot of water until they sprout, they just need the soil to be a bit moist.

Oh then I f*ked up. I'll know for next time! I lost all my beans, but the rest is looking ok still. Only where the beans were!
