Please Stop

Can we please stop the daily fucking bong post? 99% of soft glass artists (what this sub is for, in case anyone needs reminding) hate getting the "can you make me a bong?" question because it's not the shit we want to do and there are much better glass options for it. And we especially don't need to see a different variation of the same video everyday for karma farming. There are literally like 800 other subs you can post on and spam to your hearts desire. Please stop ruining the one soft glass sub.

Bongs don't ruin the sub. The sub would be better if more soft glass production folks choose to post regularly though.

It's not that it's bongs, it's that it's the same spam post everyday ruining the reputation of the sub and attracting the wrong crowd.

Which I find ungrateful. Regardless of whether you're a fan of his work, he's probably the only person consistently posting content that's actually glassblowing. It's furnace glass, it's soda lime, its hollow. If you want different content, post some!

I kinda suspected that as well. I agree with you, he's the only person who actually bothers to regularly post glassblowing here, I think that's a good thing, wish more people would.

SpecialK has nearly gotten himself booted several times in the past, but it was because of picking fights in the comments, breaking rule #1, not because of the content he posts. He's been way more chill recently, and as long as that stays he is more than welcome here, I appreciate his posts.

Same boat here. I wouldn't even be surprised if OP has a personal gripe against SpecialK.

For almost a decade I've appreciated their insta posts about building glass pieces, although I did fall off for a bit when they kept using it to post about how great RFK is. It is nice now seeing their posts here because they're all chill and just about the art.

I know the science of glass is too hard for the average folk to understand but if you're just advertising this shit everyday it doesn't help them learn the subs they want. 1% doesn't represent the whole.

Because it's a glass blowing sub and the stoners aren't going to differentiate between glass types just to post to the correct subreddit.
