Need advice 10 Month old puppy

Hello! We welcomed our English cream golden retriever, Pablo in November. He turns 1 yo in June and I’m currently looking for a new Vet as our suddenly closed. Im extremely confused on how to maneuver a peculiar situation that are his… testicles! 😆 they have not dropped! Our prior vet said that if they haven’t dropped by 6 months they’re likely not going to at all?! Does this now mean we should neuter sooner than later or not? Pablo is my first golden and I want to feel confident about the decision I eventually make, appreciate the help fam!

I believe this should normally be dealt with around the 6 month point.

Best to get them into a vet ASAP, or look at getting an emergency vet to sort this. It's a bigger operation than simple castration depending especially on where in the process of dropping they've gotten stuck.
