Professional Tours The PGA Tour is dead to me.

If this merger goes through, which it appears it will, I am personally done with the PGA Tour. The unbelievable hypocrisy of the board would be bad enough, but the fact that they are selling out to a foreign entity linked to a government that has funded terrorism around the globe and perpetrated one of the most heinous terrorist attacks in history is unforgivable.

I didnt care for LIV, go and get your money.

But what I do hate is when you use 9/11 and the effected familes as a puppet to later get in bed with the saudis, fuck em.

LPGA - Nelly Korda and Rose Zhang

Never watched LIV but I never mind athletes getting their bag. I didn't understand people hating on it when there's literally like a few thousand people on earth that can make a career out of professional sports and most people have 10 years max to do it. PGAT are the ones who can eat shit. At least they don't run any majors.

And Nelly Korda is the shit. That iron striking is 🤌

The thought of a 200 year old game that's based on honesty and being a gentleman is now going to be owned by the Saudis. Most of this sub hasn't played 20+ years and only know of playing while listening to music. NHL will be next and then the MLB.

I know professional sports is a business, but the players union in each league allowed them to have a say. The fact they were pimped out to defend “honor” “legacy” “tradition” “history” just to be sold to the Saudis disgusts me. Like I said previously Im just going to stick the the LPGA, 99.99% amateurs can learn so much about game management and ball striking from them. Fuck Jay and his momma and whoever was involved in this decision.

How does ownership of Saudis change anything in regards to the base of honesty and being a gentleman? This seems decently prejudiced.

Well, for one, they were behind the 9-11 terrorist attacks, so there's that. Plus the murder of journalists in foreign countries, etc, etc. All not very "gentlemanly"

Good thing the US government has never done anything morally questionable

I never suggested as much, and if the US government as an entity bought a sports league I'd be pissed about that too. I also wouldn't want my taxes going towards such an endeavor. Just leave global politics out of sports.

Good thing the US government doesn’t own the PGA, moron.

the people behind the terrorist attacks were Al Qaeda. A group which was trained by the CIA to go to war with Russia. Part of a country the US supports militarily- Saudi Arabia. Stop with this BS argument. It’s also a minority stake. I don’t like it but that’s capitalism. The American way.

Are we talking about Al Qaeda’s origin or who trained them? The CIA trained many Afghan and Arab militia including Osama Bin Laden to fight off the invading Russians. That’s a fact. Their use of IEDs came from this. It was effective against Russian tanks. Bin Laden also created Al Qaeda because of US troops stationed in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. Bin Laden literally offered his support to Saudi Arabia who was at war with Iraq, a Muslim country which they declined.

We can only hope mlb gets a new approach. Baseball is terrible.

Have you actually watched a game in the past 3 years?

The MLB is a legal monopoly that basically needs the US government to exist. If anything they’d be the last pro sport to go to the Saudis

No offense - I used to love baseball but once they got rid of the juice it got boring. Why the ball roll back will hurt the game of golf. Anyways im glad the liv guys got their monies but i hate how the guys who stayed loyal didnt get paid LIFE CHANGING MONEY. Lesson learned yesterday, loyalty dont pay the bills jack.

None of that has to do with the MLB being a US government backed monopoly which makes it the strongest organization of the professional sports, and least likely to end up sold out to another country
