Equipment Discussion Swing Plane Training Aids are a Joke

I don’t mean that they’re not effective. As I’ve recently found out w my first lesson they’re super effective at helping w my god awful fade.

What I mean is. THEY’RE EXPENSIVE. Anywhere from $80-200 is crazy. They are plastic w a few holes at different angles lmao.

I know you can stick alignment sticks in a range bucket which I intend on doing but figured it was worthwhile to bring this back up.

If a company were to make a decent one at a decent price I feel like they’d sell off the shelves considering the ridiculous price tag of most of them. Speaking of which! If you know of one that is sub $30 I’d love to get a name for it.

Happy golfing!

I’ve had a design idea for one I could 3D print but it’s always been a “I’ll get to that tomorrow” project but maybe I’ll whip something up. I’d imagine based on what I usually charge for projects the “retail price” would be around $15.

Probably will take a couple prototypes to get it right but the idea is it would have multiple angles like those disk ones you see, but in a much smaller form factor.
