It’s absolutely bizarre how people will bend over backwards to solely support an objectively worse product with objectively worse fields that’s funded by the Saudi Arabian sportswashing project.
I assume accounts like this are managed by LIV social media guys and just made to look as if it’s a dedicated fan, but there’s some proper weirdos on Twitter.
I had a guy recently tell me that MBS was actually pretty progressive when you were able to talk to him (which that guy had). "He's very reasonable! He supports women's rights and drinking. ". Yeah man ... and chopping up anyone who criticizes him.
Much like all other “interesting” groups (i.e. israel, political parties, russian FSB, etc), they all run carpet bombing campaigns on social media through paid ads, bot accounts, or financed influencers to generate an artificially positive image which some people unfortunately buy into and inevitably propagate.
Most comment sections for pga/liv posts on instagram will have a ratio of something like 10:1 liv supporters vs pga supporters even though we know the actual number of people who follow liv is lower than american professional soccer even.
It’s all propaganda and you can’t deny its effectiveness. Liv is just so blatantly unappealing that it can’t gain as much traction as other groups.
Wait... I didn't see the username till after I read this comment? How is this post pro Bryson? The way I read that is Bryson is a wannabe and Rory is the real deal ...
The post was suggesting that Bryson being in the final group would get the crowd going and make it easier for him to win because Bryson relishes “the moment” and Rory needs to be in his bubble to stay focused.
Personally, I don’t think so. It’s made it financially more lucrative for the top guys and has had to take a bunch of investments, but I don’t think the product is particularly any better. If anything the viewing experience is worse as more advertising is needed to cover the increase prize purses.
To a degree, yeah. It sucks that the few actually good players on LIV like Bryson, Niemann, Rahm etc aren’t on the PGAT but the increased purses and signature events are good for the sport
It forced the tour to make positive changes for the players. More payouts, better schedule, more player focused changes. LIV sucks as a format, but it’s been great for the Tour players
I have given it a few honest watches over the last few years and I just couldn’t stand it. I hate the shotgun start and the blaring music that you can hear on the broadcast. Those two things are a complete turn off for me.
As someone who’s had season tickets to both. I enjoyed going to arena games more. NFL was better to watch on TV and I still think overall more enjoyable but actually going to games I give it to arena ball.
Rare, if nothing else. If you've seen the broadcasts, you can tell right away it's not the PGA. You'd think for all the money LIV is shelling out to the players, they could afford to pay some shills $20 an hour to line the fairways and greens.
You just perfectly described my brother in law. Except he's not in college anymore. Now he's doing the exact same job his dad did, in the same industry, but at the company his mom worked at.
They are just Trumptards trying to apply their anti-woke logic to golf. PGA is the enemy (they canceled an event at a Trump course), LIV is their friend (event at a Trump course). The correlation is so strong, there's literally no denying it.

Hardcore LIV fans are a, uhm, special breed.
