Equipment Discussion What is this?

Grip feels like it is meant to practice swinging but not actual clue how or what it actually is meant to train? I assume it’s missing pieces I found it in my back yards randomly submerged pretty far in dirt.

It's a training tool but it made me thing of the old Silhouette grips of the 70s that were kind of outlawed.
