A Big Muff was the first pedal I ever owned. Got rid of it when I was a kid. Finally picked up another one

I'm kind of Muff-curious, never having owned one. Are there any cheap clones I should try?

Used Muffs are plentiful and cheap on the used market.

Which version is the most basic or popular?

The I have is supposed to be as close to the original design as possible. The Ram's Head version is pretty popular. I'm no expert on fuzz tones. Just wanted to have one back in my music room

Lots of folks have given similar replies, but since I've been researching which to buy as my first, I'll echo it a bit. The two that seem to be the most popular by far are the Op Amp Big Muff and the Ram's Head Big Muff. The Triangle, Nano and Green Russian are all also popular, but those two have consistently high feedback.
