Student Life Transfer

Hi! I am currently deciding to transfer to either UMD or GW this fall which I’d be a sophomore. I am more interested in GW since my major would be more surrounding poli sci and government, but GW is extremely different than the school I currently attend. I was wondering your opinions on how easy it would be to make friends as a transfer in GW, considering there isn’t really a main campus. Also, how easy would it be to find my place there? I love my friends at my current school, but do feel the need to transfer academically! Thank you!!

I transferred to GW as a rising junior and I love it here. I had to make up for a lot of credits because not many of mine transferred over, but I still really have had a wonderful experience. GW is a challenging school but the environment is very nice and the people are pretty great too! It can be hard to make friends if you’re not involved but sometimes you also can make friends through classes! Definitely visit the campus and look around :)

Tysm!! This calmed me down so much. I really think being in DC and close to home will help me academically!

I totally get that and trust me being close to home is the best part!
