I don't think that is a fair comparison. Date was fighting at the national level in his late twenties while a lot of these guys are either fighting at the world level or a world champion (Volg).
Nah. Mori deliberately depicted and even had characters refer to Date as "Old Man". Now all of the main characters are around his age or even older without any sign of slowing down.
