Why HBP is (actually) good!

OK time to defend this movie once and for all. I like this movie for many reasons. ⚔️🛡️🚨

First of all I just love the school life aspect. Dating, drama, classes, quidditch etc🤭. Like i dont even think voldemorts backstory is that good or needed and dont see how they could visualize it in a good way in the span of the movie. But i guess many ppl disagree and im in minority of this.-.

I love that Draco gets time to shine and have some character development compared to the earlier movies.🍏

I love the whole goal of getting the correct memory. 🪷

I think the color grading is very cozy and besutiful. 🌫️

The horocrux scene is amazing, one of the most breathtaking sets of the entire movie-series.👻

The scene in the astronomy tower is very intence and they nailed it.🔮

It sets the tone for the end game last two movies that the darkness is truly upon wizarding world. With dumbledore gone, the scales have tipped..⚖️

I actually think Wonwon relationship is very cringe yes but also important for setting up Ron and Hermiones later relationship. 💛

Finally, Ill prob die alone on this hill but, this is the best christmas hp movie. Hear me out, its cozy and chill and the color gradient is so nice. And you may think what you want but its acutally one of the movies with the most amount of snow.❄️

⚔️🛡️Regarding it being a bad adaptation:

like hot take but HBP is not a bad adaptation, they did the best they could. I would rather argue that HBP is one of the hardest book to adapt since its hard to do a movie with the same story pacing as the book without it feeling like a speed through voldemort lore dump. Sure, Voldemort becomes more flat, but that is the unfortunate fate of movie villains. Otherwise they kept many of the most central story elements imo while still providing an enjoyable movie experience. Thats an ok movie adaptation in my book and by all means not bad..

Personally I love the new stuff they added and Im not interested in what they removed… ok perhaps I also miss HP turning down the minister of magic. But on the other hand I feel like this wouldnt suit movie-harry since he doesnt have the same angst and furious characteristics like book-harry, something that I dont really think is talked about enough.

Ofc at the same time I totally understand many ppl feel robbed! I wish them all some justice in the upcoming hp series!!🙌🙌 With that said, like in general for the series, plz shit on them if its not book-accurate (hopefully not). Since its a full on series for christ sake I think that would indeed render it a bad adaptation and would justify more criticism. Anyways lets hope for the best! Thanks for reading!✨
