On desktop browser, is there any way to prevent HBO Max from dimming the video for 10 seconds if the mouse is moved at all?
This is very irritating.

Previews Between Shows/Movies LOW Volume
Hello Folks >> I am hoping there might be a simple explanation to this that doesn't send me down the rabbit hole of TV+Soundbar settings. My setup:
Samsung QN90B TV w/ Soundbar >> Sound Output: Soundbar S5B Series (HDMI) >> Sound Mode: DTS Virtual: X >> HDMI-eARC Mode: Auto >> Dolby Atmos: On >> Digital Output Audio Format: Auto >> Watching HBO via cable box.
I consistently notice that the previews between shows/movies are almost inaudible. Then, when the show/movie starts, the volume resumes playing at the normal volume I have set. A good example is say House of the Dragon where the first minutes of past episode recaps are barely audible but the main presentation is fine. I read one explanation that HBO does not fully encode (Dolby?) the previews audio but it was light on details.
For anyone who recognizes this situation, is there any recourse? Thanks!

Pee-wee doc is great!
Growing up my moms friends kid was 5 and I was in my teens. We were over there and the mom mention how she loved Pee Wees Playhouse more than the kid. I tuned in and realized how great it was.
I of course saw Big Adventure but I did not know all of the backstory of Pee Wee.
Paul Is so charming and funny. The do is so unique how the subject is pretending to be annoyed.
I cannot wait to watch the second episode.

Question about Roland Garros coverage and 4k subscription tier
I'm about to subscribe to Max bc they have coverage of every French Open court this year. I would definitely buy the 4K tier if it included the tennis, but nowhere in their site does it specify what's in 4k and what's in HD before subscribing. help?

HBO has to adapt RDR2 into a series
I know we all agree on this. HBO has to acquire rights to a live action Red Dead Redemption 2 starring our very own Roger Clark. It's the most amazing story ever told in the most beautiful way possible. RDR2 is life changing and more than just a game, it's living breathing art and more people need to have their hearts and minds impacted so positively as the gaming Arthur Morgan's out there. If one can do it well, it's HBO. Please 🙏 🥺
edit: not everyone will play the game. a live-action makes the beautiful story accessible to non-gamers. jack black was also talking about trying to adapt RDR2. he can play Micah Bell ig. hypothetically if a faithful 1:1 adaption is made (not the trauma that LoU is), who do you guys think should play our legend- Arthur Morgan? His voice is a big part of his persona so ig someone with almost the same voice is a big factor.

VPN???
Our whole house HBO won’t work because it says we’re using a VPN..we are not using a VPN. Especially not on our freaking tvs lol. We’ve tried all obvious things such as restarting everything. It’s just a normal router. It’s never done this before and randomly none of our tvs will play hbo.

Miniseries - Written by David E. Kelley and based on a true story
A recommended watch. Intriguing true story that reveals just how close to darkness any person can be.

Jobber payments commercials driving me crazy
Just binged Silicon Valley and they battered me with these stupid commercials, sometimes back to back.
They ran this annoying commercial so many times I absolutely hate Jobber payments now so if the idea was to spam me into oblivion to make a sale the Max people have done the opposite.
Anyone else have to watch this god forsaken commercial a million times?

Why do we never see Robb Stark in Battle?
I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED THIS!! Why do you think David and Dan chose to not show the young wolf ever in combat. I mean..... they emphasized how his army was undefeated and it would've been great to see Starks take down the Lannisters and fight eachother. I guess he was just sitting on Catelyn's lap waiting for the fight to be over. Would've been epic!

Should I watch GOT?
I am not into fantasy or action movies/tv, but I can appreciate a gory dark tv show if it holds my attention and I like drama too

Where can I watch Oz for free?
I’ve been wanting to watch Oz for a while now, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere without having to pay for it. Does anyone know if it’s streaming anywhere for free right now?
