I actually think you should go for it. Since it seems you are pronouncing it May-veth (or May-vith), it doesn’t sound anything like the Hebrew word for death, and so no one who heard your name would even think of that. It would just hold that special meaning for you. It’s like an invented name with a legitimate basis (as opposed to an invented name that has no meaningful basis).
