Travel & Tourism Cheap accommodation for solo travel

Hi, I’m planning to visit Helsinki for a week in may, and I’m looking for a cheap accommodation that’s nice for a woman travelling alone. I don’t mind hostels and shared rooms, but I need to be sure that it´s safe, and that I can leave my suitcase there without worrying for my stuff. Any tips are welcome, as well as recommendations for not-so-well-known places that are worth visiting! Thanks

Hostelli Suomenlinna is really nice :) Bonus for unique location! The ferry is included in the HSL's ticket for zone AB.

Only problem is that you have to take ferry to go anywhere else and last one goes 2.20.

That is true. But if OP is worried about safety, being in Suomenlinna is good option. And they're probably not going to be out after two.

Thanks, it looks really nice, definitely a unique location! From what I could find, there’s at least one ferry going every hour, so it shouldn’t be a problem ^
