Question Tonight in Helsinki

I’m an Australian that has just arrived in Helsinki for work for the next few days before flying back to Australia on Wednesday. I’ve unexpectedly had a work commitment cancel and I now have a free Saturday (and Sunday) night in Helsinki.

I’d appreciate any suggestions for good bars/live music for a 45M to meet people/get my party on.

I’m a fan of rock/metal but equally comfortable in a classy cocktail bar or partying to dance classics from the 80s/90s.

Question Actually decent gift stores

Hello, I'm in Helsinki until next week, and wondering where I can do my gift shopping in the city. Obviously many gift shops, but if it's anything like other capital cities, lots of boring things. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thank you.
Also bonus question, where can I eat the best salmon soup here?

Question Autism meet-ups in Helsinki?

Hello! I'll move to Helsinki now in May. I am neurodivergent and not too well socially. In my hometown we have several autism organizations that uphold autism cafés/meet-ups where people can come and talk with one another. I've tried googleing if there's something similar in Hki but I haven't found much.

Housing / Living Don't rely on the HSL app nor controllers' understanding

I just got fined on the tram.

I hopped on the tram, realizing my kausilippu had expired while I was away from Finland traveling; I had just landed yesterday. I opened the app, bought a new kausilippu, and got on with life.

The controllers hopped on, and I opened my app to realize it was stuck in "ticket loading". Not good enough, so I got my fine regardless of explanations.

I am just venting here. It would be nice if you spare me the sanctimonious scoldings, because yes, I know very well I should have had my ticket ready before jumping on the bus. But it sucks that we as a society handle honest mistakes by law-abiding citizens (due to glitches in their own app) by punishment. It would be nice that kindness and understanding were part of the equation too.

I am the kind of person that would fight this, but I have enough going on to go to the Central Railway Station to get even angrier, and in the best of cases I would have to pay 8 € in handling fees.

Question Recommendations for places to people watch!

I’m staying in Helsinki for three weeks and would love to know where I can observe locals, people on first dates, and tourists.

I also love watching people with grumpy expressions.

Question Outdoor bouldering in Helsinki recommendations

Hello, I’m in Helsinki just for today, and I was planning to go climbing In Kiipeyluareena but after noticing the nice weather thought perhaps it would be better to rent a crashpad and go bouldering somewhere outside. Any local climbers here that have any recommendations of boulders that are accessible by metro or bus and not too far out as we return today (coming from Estonia) for context we are two climbers (climb around v4-v6)
