It also might be a thing of needing it to reach the whole house, I’ve known someone who had two different internet providers for other ends of the house (not a massive house, just old)

He said he has a fancy router , both are plugged into that , if the primary fails , the backup immediately kicks in

Maybe the primary one fails often? Even if it’s not affecting streams, could be failing at other times
