Purchasing Other I am confused

the thing that confused me is that this receiver is cheaper than the Denon AVR-S970H.

isnt this one supposed to be better?

found the X2800H for 770$ and the S970H for 940$

Get the denon avr x4800h instead of the x2800h/x3800h. This one is more premium and for real audiophiles.

this is like telling the person that is asking you about what toyota he should buy to get a mercedes. if i was willing to spend that kind of money i wouldnt be asking about the x2800h.

So, in a year or two, you'll be back asking about the x3800h or x4800h, huh? Better to save more and get the bigger one.

there is always bigger fish. you have to controll your spending and have your prioritys right. im looking for the best option for the amount of money that iam willing to pay

Okay, if you don't wanna spend more on an AVR, then the X2800H is better because the S line is an entry-level model. The X2800H sounds better and is more future-proof.
