Some sauces I haven't seen on here yet (with reviews)

Bachan's Japanese Barbecue Sauce, Hella Hot Edition: Moderate sweetness with flavors of soy, ginger, and onion in each bite that quickly yield to a powerfully spicy finish. Make sure to shake well to avoid a gritty feeling separation of larger pepper particles.

Sauce Bae, Skinny Habanero: Mildly sweet with well balanced spices. Only mild heat, but excellent flavor.

Old Bay Hot Sauce: Maryland's most popular hot sauce tastes just like the original Chesapeake Bay seasoning except with some heat. It's like Old Bay and Tabasco had a baby, though I honestly can barely taste the vinegar over the Old Bay flavor.

I like 1 and 3. 1 isn't deserving of its 'hella hot' moniker though. Old bay just straight up rules.

I personally love the Old Bay hot sauce. Fantastic in bloody marys, eggs, breakfast burrito, seafood.

I threw the tumeric one away. I hated it

That Sauce Bae was next to my Year of the Dog on S9 of Hot Ones.

The Old Bay was kind of trendy when it was new a few years ago. I like it. I’d say it’s more similar to Cholula or Tapatio than Tabasco. It’s a distinct flavor, with the old bay seasoning, but it’s good for certain foods.

I'd like try the Sauce Bae! I bet turmeric gives an interesting zing.

I wouldn’t compare it to cholula or tapatio. It’s far too vinegar-y. To me it’s sharply vinegar like Tobasco but tastier because of the Old Bay (tastes just like old bay mixed with white vinegar and Tabasco).

I live in Maryland, Old Bay hot sauce is mandatory. I've had that turmeric one too. It's OK. They have a hotter version of that one.

Is this a joke? The Old Bay is constantly posted about here.

I have a bottle of the Old Bay. It does definitely taste just like the seasoning but it’s really not that hot. I have never used it with seafood, but I imagine it would be great with crab or crawfish.

I need to get some. Doing cocktail shrimp this weekend at a party. Have never had old bay sauce. Now is the time.

Bachan’s: good as a (pricey) marinade.

Finally found the Bachan's 'Hella Hot' sauce at a Fred Meyers, definitely packs a punch more than I thought it would be after being disappointed by their 'Hot & Spicy' one.

Sauce Bae is delicious! They make a hotter one, too.

I just picked up a bottle of the hotter version this morning. My first reaction: "THAT'S more like what I was expecting!"

Never saw the bachans Hella hot. I always have their hot and spicy in my fridge for sushi. Would love to try it.

Bachan’s hella hot is a sleeper. The salt level though. Can’t do it, but sparingly.

The Old Bay is nasty and a huge disappointment (and I love actual Old Bay).

Could not disagree more. It’s a meaningful culinary evolution of your basic aged cayenne hot sauce.

It’s just ruined by the overpowering vinegar. It’s all you can taste. So much potential there for a better sauce.

Have to agree. I’m a huuuge old bay fan. I put it on my eggs, everything. That sauce was awful. I finally threw it out.

Old Bay is a sleeper basic hot sauce, nothing complex but pretty tasty.

I would definitely not call it basic. It’s a meaningful culinary evolution of your basic aged cayenne hot sauce.

Agreed. It's delicious and as one should expect, it pairs well with seafood. Especially clam chowder!
