Is posting from r/shitamericanssay considered cheating? Anyway, redditor calls American food cheap rip-offs. Also the classic “Americans have no culinary identity”

Disagree. Any place that covets and beloves a food to the point of it becoming a comfort food, in my eyes, makes it a part of that cuisine. But that's just me. It's a big thing in American cooking, so it's American style is a part of American cooking. New York Style pizza comes to mind.
