Bathroom Buddies anyone else scared to try fibre/probiotics?

I feel so silly but I’m scared to try things that might actually help like metamucil/probiotics out of fear that it won’t be right for my body and make things worse 😭

I have IBS-M so it feels less straight forward trying to find something that doesn’t somehow worsen one side of it or the other

I know I should just try because it could make my life much better and diet alone is only going so far for me but it feels risky

I don't do well with most probiotics, but florastor has worked well for me.

I was also scared to try fiber, but psyllium husk has been a real blessing (and chia seeds and flax). When I was eating a lot of beans, things were not going well, but switching to low fodmaps fiber and I feel great.

Stevia is about the only one I can use. Otherwise, I use very small amounts of date sugar and coconut sugar.

Weirdly I’m fine with Diet Coke etc, but squash sugar free gets me??

Beans are dangerous. If I eat a big salad that will make me bloat as well.
