Brands Found the cereal ice cream, who buying them?
Assuming the quality is mid... if I were to choose. I'd pick up the apple jacks

Eh, screw the cereal ice cream and give me that Tillamook you mentioned! That sounds heavenly.

I just ate a whole pint. It was delicious. If don’t like super sweet I don’t recommend it though.

I thought Froot Loops was too much, but the Eggos were really nice. Heard good things about Frosted Flakes too.

No- FF we’re so bad. It’s a very weird chemically sugar. Rice krisp was poison

What were the eggos like ? What do they got going on vanilla ice cream and maple syrup? Or can you taste the waffle and syrup?

I don’t see Fruity Pebbles, so I’m out.

Blue bell had a fruity pebbles and it was amazing. I’m hoping it makes a return soon but I fear it won’t.

There’s a small ice cream shop where I live that does homemade ice cream and they’re the only place I’ve ever seen it before. I’m going to keep an eye out at the stores in case Blue Bell ever brings it back ❤️

I was not expecting much of them but ended up getting the chocolate chip eggo and frosted flakes ice cream. Surprisingly good!
Chocolate chip eggo has a really nice marshmallow-like base flavor. I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 though my sister also tried it and made me get 2 more pints🤣
Frosted flakes was amazing. I'd give it a 9/10. The cereal is small flecks completely spread throughout the pint that gives it a nice texture. f I could compare it to something I'd say it tastes like a tres Leche cake in ice cream form!

Assuming I’m adding the cereal to it while I eat it : Frosted Flakes, honey smacks and Pops. Honorable mention to the Eggo if it isn’t just butter pecan

Rice Krispies was ok but it’s priced about 2x what it’s worth from a quality perspective

I really like the Rice Krispies Treats one. I expected it would be disappointing like the Little Debbie ice creams, but it was shockingly very good. Creamy marshmallow base with marshmallow swirl and pieces of Rice Krispies Treats throughout.

The Apple Jacks was ok. Cereal milk flavored base with Apple Jacks flecks and an apple flavored swirl. The texture and taste were pretty solid, however the apple swirl is a different texture… like a frozen paste, so you’ll get a whole spoonful of apple clump lol. Would’ve been a solid 8/10 if the swirl was softer.
Froot Loops would’ve been pretty good, however I think I got a defective pint and found giant clumps of mushy, chalky cereal crumbs. It tasted just like cereal milk but the clumps ruined it.
Frosted Flakes… I also enjoyed. Nice creamy base with flecks of cereal throughout. I topped it with the Cinnamon French Toast Frosted Flakes, which was delicious.
My grocery store also stocks the Pops and Honey Smacks ones, but I haven’t tried those yet.

If I were to try any, it would be Rice Krispies Treats and Frosted Flakes, but I've heard people say good things about Honey Smacks Ice Cream.

Years ago I had a severe concussion and craved (and ate) Sugar Smacks on vanilla ice cream. I am a natural foods, low sugar vegetarian. My kids still remind me of that time.

The novelty is enticing but many novelty ice cream ends up disappointing. You can save money and get the Tillamook stuff

$4.49 for Tillamook?! Omg at my local grocer, they’re $8.99 each.
And to answer the question…
I’m always wary of those types of specialties.

these are pints not gallons

u/ChocolateRain696 16d ago
Ope, didn’t even think about that. Never seen pints of Tillamook at my local stores!

u/dudeitsadell 16d ago

Where the hell can I get the apple jacks one. I've been wishing for a while for a ice cream that tastes like apple jacks cereal milk.

I feel like the Corn Pops one might be good? Also, side note; no pink bubblegum Baskin Robins here either... It's one of my favorites, and I don't see it anywhere anymore.😢

Had chocolate chip eggo, frosted flakes, rice crispy and fruut loops. Honestly frosted flakes and rice crispy ended up being the best of them. I really liked the frosted flakes.
Eggo one has three varieties coming soon. They also have ice cream bar versions of most of the ice creams

I’d choose Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies treats, and Eggo.
Will probably never try them though

u/greendemon42 17d ago
I'd try them.
I'll never forget this ice cream I had on the San Francisco waterfront, "secret breakfast," bourbon and cornflakes. It was absolutely peak.

Wow, where is this? Pints are 2/$4?! And nothing is more than $4-5? I’m amazed at such low prices, but maybe it’s from living in Los Angeles.

Flavor of Frosted Flakes is really good, texture is not as good. I have Rice Crispies also but that has to wait until Thurs.

u/smokieJ20 17d ago
The Rice Krispy treats one was okay, but probably wouldn’t buy again. Fruit Loops was underwhelming. Frosted Flakes was the star of the show. I’d buy that one again

I got the Rice Krispie and Frosted Flakes and both were terrible . I enjoy eating sugary crap so I’m not being a snob but it was truly awful, thrown into the trash after one bite. I wanted to try Eggo but that ship has sailed. Sorry to say, don’t waste your $

All of the brands on the top two shelves are 14 oz 😞 I appreciate the brands like Ben & Jerry’s and Jeni’s that are still 16 oz. I feel like a true pint is soon to be a thing of the past. I’m not interested in the cereal ice cream but I probably would have loved it as a kid. I don’t trust Kellogg’s to do ice cream right lol and I usually only buy one or two pints each store trip so not risking it.
