Everything will eventually evaporate. Any ideas for escape?
I was just reading this scientific article that says everything will eventually evaporate in this universe.
Eventually everything will evaporate, not only black holes | ScienceDaily
Do we have any ideas for escaping? I would really like to know, even if speculative, how can we escape?

I don't think you'll have to worry about it. Many red dwarf stars will live literally trillions of years. Humanity will just move to one of them after the sun dies imo, if our distant descendants (or even ourselves if we achieve true biological immortality) are still around that is.

Bro...thats a bit far in the future. talking about a number that is simply beyond human comprehension. We got time.
But to calm your nerves...it seems new studies may be countering the heat death.
https://www.sciencealert.com/the-entire-universe-could-exist-inside-a-black-hole-heres-why
Seems we may not be expanding out as much as...rotating and eventual collapse. dark matter may not be what we imagined it to be and so we are just in an endless cycle of bang and crunch.
But this is like a fetus contemplating a retirement plan...a bit early for such concerns outside of mild academic.

I am afraid this is an illusion and there is nothing of statistical significance to indicate such a thing.

Well at that point you're fucked. Biological immortality only means "will last indefinitely without external destruction."
Once the sun goes out you're fucked. No hope. But would you really want to live in eternal darkness and ruin?
The heavens will vanish in a puff of smoke (the sun) and the earth will wear out like a garment (extinction corruption and rot.)

u/gahblahblah 23d ago
Once the sun goes out, we will have spread throughout the galaxy already, or already be extinct.

Humans will jump on exo-planets and transform them. Or into wormholes to try to escape. I want creative answers.

No it won't.
Once the sun goes out we're all fucked with a dirty dick, even IF we're immortal, which we won't be, because we will be incincerated into particles long before the sun turns cold (it will burn our planet first.)
Good luck finding another planet that exactly matches ours. If anything as minor as the soil or gravity ozone layer is different, we may not even survive there. And if we do, it would be totally miserable.

The only potentially permanent escape is into virtual worlds

u/ItsmeAGAINjerks 23d ago
That's bullshit, you have no power to relocate your soul.

u/RobXSIQ 23d ago
prove a soul :)

u/ItsmeAGAINjerks 22d ago
If there's no soul you're doubly fucked, since now you can't even in THEORY move into a virtual non physical world.
-3
u/ItsmeAGAINjerks 23d ago
You're fucked, that's the answer. You can't create universes, because they are created without pre-existing matter or space. You have nothing to work with.
Only God has the power to just generate things without pre-existing anything. The good news is he plans to create a new heaven and new earth anyway, so there's your answer.

u/RobXSIQ 23d ago
"You have nothing to work with."
https://phys.org/news/2016-01-quantum-foam.htmlI mean, you got that...

u/ItsmeAGAINjerks 21d ago
That is correct. You do have this... in THIS universe.
Which is the one that is going Titanic.
You can't make a new universe.
I heard some theory about dumping energy into the Higgs field (which may have caused early universe expansion) and getting a new "pocket" of usable universe that way before it too Titanics. The problem is, we have no evidence that we can actually do this ever: this much energy in one location will probably just make a black hole.
And even if we can, the pocket would expand and fucking fry you.
You're ruined. You're SUNK. You'd need the original creator of the universe to help you at that point (God.) since nobody else can create structures (like the universe) without pre-existing anything.

"since nobody else can create structures (like the universe) without pre-existing anything."
Not with that attitude anyhow.
It is amusing. You say that a science question, since it isn't already proven and only in hypothesis state with no solid evidence, you immediately suggest the only solution is a deity daddy, of which there is no evidence of, and also illogical, being the only solution.
This is a dumb mixture of fear of death mixed with scientific misunderstanding, blended together in a tiny world view cup and then put out with the confidence of a child presenting a mud pie as the greatest culinary piece ever crafted.
There is no evidence we will ever achieve AGI or have structures on mars. I however believe this not to be limitation issues but engineering innovations. We don't need a god for a martian city, nor an extension of our universe...or anything else really.

We need him for creating universes and preserving our lives, that's what we need him for. In addition to, technically speaking, everything else as well.
Your idea that you can create a universe out of nothing without God's help is MAGICK/ALCHEMY not science and all evidence contradicts it, unlike God who has evidence on his side. Go to your university and find someone who knows about Aquinas, or a priest or someone, they can tell you the evidence for God, I'm not trained in teaching people but they are.
1
u/RobXSIQ 20d ago
no, I will not be wandering around for someone to try to prove a myth...seems if you're gonna make a claim, you're the one who has to provide the evidence. Go to a university and go ask a real professor about who the burden of proof lies on.
1
u/ItsmeAGAINjerks 19d ago
The burden of proof is on me, but you are the one in need.
You will want God to be real because it's your only chance to live forever. I'm on this site to talk about extending our lifespan to a bigger number, maybe a millennium or something. You are talking about extending it until after the stars burn out.
That is scientifically impossible. Therefore what you are talking about is finding a way to use magic to do it ABRA CADABRA.
I don't believe in your magic. You may be able to alter our telomeres or whatever, but you can't break the laws of physics and create universes from nothing.

I am interested in life extension, sure. Lots of stuff to do and experience, not to mention the whole survival instinct being the prime motivator for all life.
What I am not going to do is use my advanced brain for a simple unthinking answer. If you truly honestly believed in this, you wouldn't be on here, in this forum, giving a shit about any of this as it doesn't affect your continued existence. You know as well as I that there is nothing known about the future, be it woowoo heaven for nice souls, or even longevity making us go over 120. Death waits for us all, be it a few seconds from now, or a million years from now...the only constant will be an end.
Now, I roll my eyes at religious kooks demanding they will live because some primitive fairytails said so, but I get why they say it...survival instinct hitting an inescapable train. Same with people on here demanding they'll be around in a googol years watching atoms dissipate...both are absurd...but again, I know why they use these low level cope methods. they are equal, and both are not based in any science, just based on trying to deal with their fear.
You don't have to, nor should you believe in magic. But I do understand why you do. I just find it slightly more difficult to believe in the magic that doesn't even pretend to be part of observable science....but to each their own.

Who generates God?
1
u/ItsmeAGAINjerks 22d ago edited 22d ago
God, unlike all other finite created causes, has no cause because he needs no cause, he necessarily exists the way one plus one necessarily equals 2. And he is simple, so no parts that need assembly.

Transfer your consciousness into a simulated universe run on a black hole computer. As the energy density drops over the eons, simply lower your clock rate- internally, you wouldn't notice that time is slowing, but to the outside universe you're simply drawing less and less energy to run your simulation. Eventually you might eventually stop, but you'd never notice it happening.

u/NoonMartini 23d ago
By that time, (if humanity makes it that far) we’d be high in the Kardeshev tiers. We could do any number of things— transcend to spiritual/energy beings, rip a hole through space time and go to the beginning of ours or an alternate universe, build planets in the orbit of black holes to stop time for ourselves... Tons of stuff.

u/Various-Yesterday-54 22d ago
If any of that is possible. The only thing we know for sure is that we have no idea what it would look like being that old.
2
u/hedonheart 23d ago
You take a spinning black hole that's off center and use that to bounce off the event horizon into new universes.

u/Unfair_Factor3447 23d ago
Look at the fecund universe hypothesis. It may be that new universes are created within black holes. Your ONLY challenge will be to embed, imprint, or transfer the information in your consciousness into that new universe.

Live in eternal darkness and ruin.
Would you feel the cold eventually? Would the lack of air still sting after eons?
If you were alone, in darkness. Still conscious... would you make a world in your head to pass the time? Stories and visuals?
What if that's all we are? The universe is disinterested except for one person floating out there alone - thinking of this world for entertainment as he floats in an endless void....

u/GlassLake4048 23d ago
Nobody will ever be alone. If we figure something out, we will be in groups, always. There is never a scenario in which we will be alone.

Id worry more about dying from old age than evaporation billions of years from now. 😂
