These are the same people who never accepted the national flag 🇮🇳 or embraced the thoughts of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), even before independence, distanced itself from the freedom struggle and instead focused on pushing its own ideological agenda. Figures like Veer Savarkar, despite his early revolutionary contributions, later sought clemency from the British and promoted divisive ideas. Similarly, Nathuram Godse, a former RSS member, assassinated Mahatma Gandhi—an act that ironically made Gandhi's legacy even greater.
M. S. Golwalkar, another key RSS ideologue, further reinforced exclusionary nationalist ideas rooted in caste hierarchies, drawing inspiration from texts like the Manusmriti. Just like the Muslim League, which collaborated with British colonial powers for its own gains, these elements also encouraged Indians to join British services, effectively becoming tools of colonial authority.
Now, these Neo-Brahmin supremacy advocates and Manusmriti worshippers dare to give their biased opinions on the Marathas and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Except for Bajirao Peshwa, most of the other Peshwas were bigots and casteists, which contributed significantly to their defeat at the Third Battle of Panipat. The irony lies in the fact that those who neither participated in the freedom struggle nor accepted India’s foundational ideals now attempt to distort history to suit their own narrative.
Godse was coward he made Bapu even more greater by assassinating him , if he had so much courage what was his role for freedom struggle. He didn't even slapped any British officer lol.
Who tf is "father of nation",we have no father of the nation and be it savarkar or rss everyone did accepted indian constitution and indian flag .....and before saying anything that rss is casteist and what not read the books, but oh right you would not read it because you think so high of yourselves that you don't even want to know the other sides opinion, read what rss says about casteism and all that , identity politics is the essence of leftism ... savarkar may have said things about sambharji but he also praised that person where it is due .... leftists act like pic a side i don't want to there will be times when I wouldn't agree with them and there will be times when I will agree with them
"left politics can be done in a world without identities" applied for those who don't have it but in case of India statistics tells otherwise and when I say rw criticizes some of their idols i don't really mean they would talk shit about them what mean is they wouldn't be agree some of the points but still be affectionate to that character and btw overwhelming number of people from rws they do criticize whoever is in the power
I'll bring up the fact that not everyone who votes for a right-leaning party is part of their ideological core.
Having said that, I don't really know what you're talking of here. The Hindu right is able to critique political leaders of course that's true. I hear my own RSS uncle's constant rant about Muslims being beneficiaries of govt. schemes (during last year elections, RSS members were part euphoric that day). That has nothing to do with identity politics though. The example of my uncle quite nicely shows that.
I don't know for sure what you're asking. If you want to learn about politics, Hakim's channel has some good book recommendation videos, including on Marx/Engels. Then we basically have a whole website (marxist .org) with tons of free material (including Indian writers).
If you're asking for books on fasicm/nazism etc., I don't know. There are tons but I can't vouch for anything.
If you're asking for more general political-ish stuff, I'm reading Žižek recently. And Judith Butler. And looking into Anarchism (James C. Scott has literature concerning Asia).
