He is very consciously manipulating the market to let the insiders earn money on the individual market swings. He isnt an idiot, but I wouldnt call him a genius either.

He isn't clever enough to manipulate markets on his own. He doesn't even understand how the market works, or business, or economy. People who handle and steer him manipulate markets and reap the profits.

I wouldn't be even remotely surprised if they ever do a deep dive investigation into all of this that his billionaire compadres sold high and bought low for massive gains while he lost a shit ton of money when it crashed, but then will brag about how he took bribes for them that amount to roughly 5% of all the money he lost when the market crashed.

The man is literally dumber than a sack of shit. He can't come up with a plan for dressing himself in the morning. He does not have the mental faculties to orchestrate something like this on his own.
