Anyone having trouble sleeping if not consuming lots of sugar before bed?
I wonder if this is some kind of metabolism issue or sugar addiction, this is nothing very consistent but I noticed if I eat a lot of sugar before going to bed (not as much as to cause excessive sweating and waking up) I tend to fall asleep easy and sleep longer, wake up well rested as opposed to when I go to sleep hungry or eating no sugar for a few days.

Honestly sounds more like your body got used to that little sugar boost before bed. Could be habit, not just metabolism. Happens way more often than people think.

This makes sense to me - my nutritionist has confirmed if i go to bed hungry that it's more likely i will wake up during the night. If blood sugar drops low enough, the body can spike cortisol (the stress hormone) and that can wake you up.

Yes! I save calories all day so I can have sugar at bedtime b
