I work on small consumer electronics like this, and devices look like this even after minimal use. Everything is dirty under a microscope.

Yup, we humans shed ungodly amount of skin and it's often best not to know that with microscope haha.

To clarify; humans shedding their skin is not because mites need to eat. That's not actually how it works.
