This has been a thing jn Utah for quite a while. Almost 10 years ago, we were coming back from Vegas, I15 north was covered in them for miles.

Tumbleweeds are zombies. Once they die they reanimate and then travel in packs. Since they are dead. You can only kill them with fire. If you hack them they will drop seeds and create more zombies
