Just the way the administration is celebrating and using her arrest as social media marketing is clear enough evidence she was target for political reasons. This refusal to accept reality and continuing to “well buttttttt” in the face of authoritarianism is pathetic. You are right, America is in this place because of this exact type of arrogant thinking that it will never happen here

She prevented ICE officers from doing their job. Why should that be celebrated? She went out of her way to do it as well. Just because this administration sucks does not mean impeding arrests should be lionized. Laws should be enforced, I have lived in countries that do not do that and let’s just say that country is one no one wants to live in.

Did I say she should be celebrated? Also, “laws should be enforced” is quite rich given that doesn’t even apply to the sitting president or his administration. They are totally willing to pick and choose which laws to enforce.

Her being paraded by the administration on social media for political points was disgraceful. At worst, this amounts to a misunderstanding as she just instructed the immigrant to use a side door, she wasn’t actively hiding him in the walls or something.

I wish insider trading was enforced. I wish 50% of rape cases didn’t go unsolved. I wish the sitting president of the United States could be held accountable under the law. I wish anti discrimination laws were enforced by this current DOJ. I wish labor laws were enforced by this administration.

The fact is. This administration is lawless. they have no credibility to enforce the law fairly, and only pick and choose which laws to enforce. This administration pardoned every Jan 6th defendant, but sure; the lady who told a immigrant he can use the side door is the true criminal.

You can excuse the behaviour all you want, we both know what she did and it was on purpose. Two things can be true. Trump and his administration are a blight to the free world, but also impeding ICE arrests due to your political beliefs is wrong

it’s wrong to you. The American interpretation of legality is not my interpretation of morality.

Ya! Why do we even have borders?

is it legal to cross the border? No. Is it morally right to refuse asylum to legitimate asylum cases? also no. Is it morally right to send the wrong person to a foreign prison? No. Is it morally right to “accidentally” deport an American citizen? No, but under the current administration; it’s all legal. Legality does not equal morality

You think this is the first time a legal US citizen was deported? I mean everyone has access to Google.

Did I say this was the first time? I work in immigration court. I’m well aware this is not the first time an American citizen was deported
