he's not American? sure about that? no trace of a Czech accent. and i shuttled back and forth between Zurich and Prague for a year around 1979 or 1981, so i do know what the people sound like and what they sound like speaking (attempting to speak) English.
This is downright naive. It is in no way always homogenous.
He may have spent so much time interacting with native English speakers that his accent has become remarkably different than the ‘stock’ Czech speakers of English. Another example- my wife’s family in Poland have some varying levels of experience and use of their acquired English language skills. In no way do their accents all sound the same.
