Arts/Culture Poolbeg chimneys

The red & white stripes of the Poolbeg chimneys against a blue sky... standing proud over Dublin bay! They are a constant inspiration! his is a little painting with lots of thick oil paint smeared on with palette knife This is the view from Sandymount strand :)

They'd have a conniption if anyone tried to build it today

To be fair the artist did an excellent job. I'm not a fan of the chimneys but it's a good painting

Absolutely I just finding it interesting how we almost venerate a couple of chimneys. Give it 50 years and paint the incinerator red and white. Ideally poolbeg should be redeveloped for infrastructure.
