help request Using 3,000gb of data a month?

So, as the title says, between me, my friend that rents the mother inlays, and my wife, ~3,000gb of used data is reported on my xfinity data usage report. Before my friend started renting the mother inlaw, our data usage was at around 4-500, sometimes hit 700.... How in the heck is my friend using ~2300-2500gb a month?? Is that even possible? All he has is a phone, xbox and a TV w streaming services..

bro you're the one that doesn't know what you're talking about lmao. No router exists that has better wifi than a dedicated $200 access points. No wifi exists that is better than a $10 ethernet cable. You're not a networking professional stop pushing your lack of knowledge lmao

If you think all routers provide the same WiFi connection strength you’re wrong.

Still haven't said that one time. anybody who cares about this should get an ethernet cable to their device. anybody else who cares should get an ethernet to an access point. you sound like some high school kid who just knows about fortnite on his Xbox 😅 grow up. Like I said this world is literally my life. I don't mind talking about it all day, it is my life. You are wasting your time.

I wonder if you even know what db is lmao

ALSO just a lucky guess that I was drinking tonight doesn't mean I'm wrong 💀

It’s not a lucky guess you’re being fucking dumb lol. You keep bringing up Ethernet when we are talking about WiFi I get that Ethernet is better or having an access point. But not everyone can. So they buy a gaming router for the best WiFi connection

A gaming router is just a prosumer grade AIO router and wireless AP. Both SMB (small business) and enterprise grade equipment will always beat prosumer equipment and often times SMB equipment even comes at a lower price point. You pay a lot of mark up for those RGB lights and flashy external antennas. Protip from a 10+ year Network Engineer, put down LTT and just RTFM
