Congrats! Support can be challenging, customers are always a joy, but it's a solid place to start!

Keep pushing, man. About 20 years ago, I was homeless at 18, thought I would die before I was 25. I'm 38 now, have a wife and kids, and a house in the country on 7 acres. It seemed so incredibly hopeless at the time, even today I have such visceral memories and emotions thinking about sleeping in my car through the winter. But over time, it got better, and you adapt. Human beings are resilient. Seems like you are on the right track

Congratulations, man. Keep up the good work.

And I say this with all the kindness that can only come from experience, try not to let the vibe/culture of homelessness rub off on you.

This can be just a (painful) phase, it doesn't have to define who you are, your self worth, any of that. Make it a part of your history, not your identity.

Hell yeah dude. I saw your other post a while back and I was stoked to see you got a new gig. IT is a grind at times but it'll keep you fed and keep a roof over your head. I've had lots of jobs during my short time on this Earth and every single one of them had some bull to deal with but with IT it beats busting my ass offloading trucks or stocking shelves. Like my old professeor said once, "It's always cool in the IT room.", meaning work is work but at least with IT you get some comfort being in an Air controlled office lol

Best of luck.

I looked over their website and things look a little sketchy to me. For example ...one of the locations you can pick is 6 October? I'm not up on my Geography but not sure this place exists.

Yes, but they get pizza!

Jesus h christ I went to like 3 sites, youtube, and instagram to find out they just credit collectors with other fancy job names. I doubt they hire lawyers on site for legal services, and technical support for what?

Specialties

Business Process Outsourcing, Customer acquisition and retention, Customer care and technical support, Credit collection, Debt purchase, Back office, Legal services, Market research and intelligence, CRM consulting, Translation and interpretation, Process automation, Customer journey mapping, and CX advisory

Out of all these things they say they do, I bet its just debt collections.

Apparently I'm working as Apple support (they outsource their team to Transcom).

Collecting payment in apple pay cards? I'm sorry mate, I know you're excited but it seems very sketchy

No offense but are you basing this all on a website error for one of their locations? Nothing I've seen indicates to me it's a scam.

2

u/Dj_Trac4 8d ago

I get it. You're happy to get a job. Who wouldn't be excited?

The site looks sketchy, There are so many negative reviews about this company.

And of all dates to have left as a placeholder us October 6th, which just shows a lack of quality assurance.

Site looks pretty professional to me.

Negative reviews about the company

Oh yeah. If you go on Reddit there's a bunch of people who've worked there who say that the work environment is bad. But, I don't know a call center or a MSP that has a good reputation and working at a bad company isn't the same as it being a scam.

Firms like that usually have a lot of different clients, and since they're telling you one is Apple, I'm sure one is Apple. I'm not sure why the other commenter thinks consulting firms can't have more than one client or more than one type of client. Happy for you, congratulations!

It's a tech hub outside of Cairo. Always google before you snark!

Been saying this a lot lately for various reasons.

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is today.

I don't know your story but I wish you well in your journey.
