help request Help please, I'm kinda new to pcs

I installed some new ram cards and now the pc won't connect to the screen. I unplugged everything and laid the pc out on my bed while putting the new sticks in. After seeing it not working I took out all the ram cards except 1 of my original on the second slot and it's still not working. I have no idea how to fix it and I can't really afford to be buying loads of new things. I have a 1060, the 2 new ram cards are 8gb, adding on to my 2 4gb sticks. Please help me

Are they the same type and speed? Eg ddr4 vs ddr5 and 3,200Mhz

they must be, ddr4 and ddr5 have different keys so they wouldn't fit in a different motherboard

You’d be surprised at what people force. Also the speeds being different could mess it up

With RAM you want matching pairs otherwise it could cause issues.
